Overview

Set up your seating and in-store devices:

  • Area Management: create seating areas such as private rooms, the counter or the terrace.
  • Table Management: set each table's capacity, features, table merging and pay-after-meal. You can also show each table's QR code here.
  • Printer Management: register kitchen and register printers and print automatically for new orders, add-on orders, service calls, checkout and more.

Steps

1. Create areas

  1. Open Orders & menu → Area Management and click Add Area.
  2. Choose the shop under Select Shop and enter the Area Name (for example Private Room or Counter).
  3. Set Area Name (Multilingual), Color (optional), Sort Order and Status as needed, then save.

You can't delete an area that still has tables. Move those tables to another area or delete them first.

2. Add tables

  1. Open Orders & menu → Tables and click Add Table.
  2. Enter the Shop, Table Name (for example A1 or VIP1) and Table Name (Multilingual).
  3. Choose the Area. New Area creates one on the spot. Add the Floor if needed.
  4. Enter Min Capacity, Max Capacity and Standard Capacity.
  5. Set Window Seat, Smoking Area, Has Power Outlet, Child Seat Available and Reservable.
  6. For tables you push together for large parties, turn on Allow Table Merge. Enter the extra seats each table adds in Merge Capacity Bonus.
  7. Save.

Table Business Settings normally follow the shop's settings (Settings → Shops). To change them for one table only, turn the switch on and set Pay After Meal, Require Table Clear and Auto Release. Pay After Meal requires Table Clear.

3. Show a table's QR code

  1. In the table list, click Table QR on the table.
  2. The QR code appears. Copy Link copies its link.

4. Register a printer (Server Direct Print)

Epson TM-Intelligent printers fetch print jobs from the server themselves, so they print without going through an iPad.

  1. Open Orders & menu → Printers and select a shop.
  2. Click Add Printer and enter a Printer Name (for example Kitchen Printer).
  3. Under Connection Type, choose Server Direct Print.
  4. Enter a Device ID (for example kitchen). It must be unique within the shop.
  5. Set Paper Width, Print Language, Print Density, Cut per dish, Buzzer and so on.
  6. Tick the situations to print under Auto-print Scenes, then save.
  7. Open Edit again and click Copy next to Server URL.
  8. In the printer's WebConfig, under Server Direct Print, paste the Server URL and set the same Device ID.
  9. When the list shows Online, the printer is connected.

LAN (Wired) and WiFi need an IP address and port; Bluetooth needs a Bluetooth address. Printers on these connections print through the shop's iPad.

5. Decide what prints in each situation

  1. Click Scene Config (the slider icon) on the printer's row.
  2. Tick the situations to print and choose Copies, Template and Language.
  3. For New Order, Add Items, Order Cancel and Rush, use Category Routing to pick product categories. With none selected, every item prints.
  4. For Checkout, Receipt and Checkout Request, you can set a Min Amount.
  5. Click Save for each situation.

Category routing lets drinks print at the bar and food in the kitchen, for example.

6. Check print results

  1. Click Print Log at the top (all printers) or the Print Log clock icon on a row.
  2. Check the total, successes, failures, skips and success rate. You can also search by order number.
  3. Use Reprint for jobs that failed, were skipped or are still pending.

On the screen

  • Table status: Available, Occupied, Reserved or Cleaning. It changes as staff seat guests and check them out.
  • Views: switch the table list between List and Card, and turn Group by Area on or off.
  • Bound Account: printers tied to a specific device show its name; others show Shop Shared.
  • Status (Enabled / Disabled): switch it with the power icon on the row. Disabled printers aren't used.

FAQ

  • Nothing prints with Server Direct Print. Check that the Device ID on the printer exactly matches the Device ID here; otherwise the printer can't fetch jobs. If it shows Offline, check the power and network too.
  • How do I allow merging for every table at once? Click Enable merge for all. It covers every table in the current shop and leaves tables that already allow merging as they are.
  • Add Printer is greyed out. Select a shop at the top first. Printers are managed per shop.
  • Where are the defaults for pay-after-meal and table clear set? In the shop's settings under Settings → Shops. → Shops and members
