Get these ready early
- gBizID Prime: the account needed for online applications on jGrants and elsewhere. It can take several days to issue, so apply early.
- Certificate of registered matters and tax certificate: most programs ask for them. Mind how recently they must be issued.
- Latest financial statements: many programs ask for two years. Export them from Accounting → Year-End & Filing.
- Business plan: planned sales and profit. Filling in Insights → Plan vs Actual gives you a base for the application.
- Wage ledger: needed for programs that require pay raises. Export it from Payroll.
- SECURITY ACTION: a self-declaration (IPA) required for the Digitalization & AI Adoption Subsidy.
- Quotes: for the equipment or services you want subsidized.
Costs contracted, ordered or paid before the grant decision are often not eligible. Always check the eligible expenses and project period in the guidelines.
Writing the application
Your company prepares the application itself. For expert help, consult a certified support organization (chambers of commerce, financial institutions, tax accountants and others) or an administrative scrivener. Some programs, such as the Jizokuka subsidy for small businesses, also need a support plan from the chamber of commerce.
