Overview
An insight template is the list of sections that decides what the AI listens for in the minutes. Each template has 1 to 10 sections, and each section has a title, a format (text or list) and an instruction for the AI. The 4 presets are always available; you can duplicate a preset and adapt it for your company, or start from scratch. You can set one company default.
The summary, decisions, open questions, next actions, BANT, risks, customer minutes and thank-you email are always extracted, whatever the template. The template decides the sections in between.
What it does and does not do
- It does: let you pick a preset, duplicate and adapt a preset, create a new template, set the company default, and delete templates.
- It does not: let you change or delete the presets themselves, or set a personal default (there is one default per company).
Steps
- On the import screen of the Minutes card, click Manage templates next to Template. The Insight templates window opens.
- Each row shows the name, a Preset mark, a Default mark for the company default, and the section titles.
- To start from a preset, click Duplicate and edit on its row; it is copied as a company template and the editor opens. To start from scratch, click New template.
- Enter the Template name (required) and a Description.
- For each section (shown as N/10), enter a title, choose Text or List, and write an instruction for the AI, for example "Capture what the customer is struggling with and why they want to adopt, in their own words". Reorder with Up and Down, remove with Delete and add with Add section.
- To make it the default, tick Make this the default template.
- Click Save. Back on the card, the template is selected. Click Back to list to discard.
- To change the default later, click Make default on a row. To delete a company template, click Delete and confirm in Delete template.

Presets
- BANT: budget / decision maker and process / problem and need / timing (all text). For judging how real a deal is.
- SPICED: Situation / Pain / Impact / Critical Event / Decision (all text). For consultative selling.
- First hearing (初回ヒアリング): company and business overview / current problems / current setup and tools / expectations / concerns and conditions / homework for next time (all lists). For a first meeting.
- Follow-up (フォローアップ): updates since last time (text) / open issues (list) / value and fit (text) / next steps (list). For second and later meetings. Used when no company default is set.
Other details
- When extracting, Template starts on the company default (Follow-up if none).
- Automatic extraction after an AI note-taker meeting also uses the company default.
- Each set of minutes records which template was used; Re-extract lets you switch.
- Deleting the default template returns the default to Follow-up.
- Templates marked Disabled do not appear as extraction choices.
FAQ
- Which one should I use? First hearing for a first meeting, Follow-up after that, and BANT when you want to check how likely a deal is. Most companies just duplicate a preset and rename the sections in their own words.
- Can I have my own default? No, the default is company-wide. Choose a template under Template each time you extract.
- Who can edit templates? Templates are shared across the company, and any member who can use the sales features can edit them.
