Choose which calendars to import meetings from

Overview#

Meeting import reads only your main calendar at first. If you keep meetings on another calendar, choose calendars you own and import them too. The import rules (meetings with external guests only, linking, following calendar changes) are the same as in Import calendar meetings as activities automatically.

Steps#

1. Under Settings → Google Calendar → Meeting import, turn on Import meetings with external guests as activities.
2. Under Calendars to import from, tick the calendars to import. You see "Settings saved".
3. Click Import now to run it right away.

On the screen#

• "Choose from calendars you own.": only calendars you own are listed. Your main calendar shows as "Main calendar (your email)" and is the only one ticked at first.
• You cannot choose while import is off.
• At least one calendar stays ticked (the last one cannot be cleared). You can choose up to 10.
• An event on several calendars is imported once.
• If a calendar cannot be read, the others are still imported and a note says some calendars could not be read.
• If you see "Permission to read your calendar list is turned off, so meetings are imported from your main calendar only.", use Reconnect on the card and allow all items.

FAQ#

• A department's shared calendar is not listed: calendars owned by someone else cannot be chosen, because importing them would record colleagues' meetings as your activities. Each attendee records those meetings through their own import (one meeting becomes one activity per company).
• The Bookmi calendar is not listed: it holds exported events, so it is not imported.
• What happens to activities from a calendar I untick? Activities already imported stay. They no longer follow changes on that calendar.
• Can I import from the calendar I export to? Yes. Events exported by Bookmi are marked and skipped on import.
