Overview

The Sales group under Insights in the side menu shows your sales from several angles. Everything comes from the daily reports each shop enters (sales, guests, groups and payment methods). Days without a daily report are not counted.

  • Sales Metrics: total sales, guests and average spend for a period, with a lunch / dinner / takeout breakdown
  • Monthly Sales Comparison: month-by-month sales for a year against the previous year
  • Customer Analysis: average spend by weekday and by month
  • Payment Summary: amounts and shares by payment method
  • Shop Comparison: sales and cost ratios side by side for each shop

Sales Metrics

  1. Open Insights → Sales Metrics.
  2. Pick a shop in the top-right selector. All Shops shows the company total.
  3. Choose a start and end date. It starts with the 1st of this month to today.
  4. Check Total Sales, Total Customers, Average Price and Avg. Daily Sales on the cards.
  5. Check Lunch Sales, Dinner Sales, Takeout Sales, Alcohol Sales and Food Sales in the table.
  • Average Price = Total Sales ÷ Total Customers.
  • Avg. Daily Sales is the average per daily report (one shop, one day). With All Shops it is per shop per day.
  • Food Sales = Total Sales − Alcohol Sales.

Compare with last year (Monthly Sales Comparison)

  1. Open Insights → Monthly Sales Comparison.
  2. Pick a shop at the top right and switch years with ◀ ▶.
  3. Read the three rows (previous year, selected year, YoY) and the Total column. Amounts are in thousands of yen.
  4. Use the Sales & YoY chart (bars and a line) and the Sales Trend chart (two lines). Hover over a month to see exact yen amounts.

The notes under the table mean:

  • ※1 Same period through m/d: the current month is not over, so it is compared with the 1st to the same day of last year's month.
  • ※2 Compared over …: the total YoY uses only months that have sales in both years.
  • ※Includes new shops: the all-shop total includes shops that did not exist last year, which can push the YoY up.
  • Months without daily reports show "—".
Note

Only company administrators can open the Monthly Sales Comparison. Others see "Only company administrators can view this page".

Customer Analysis

  1. Open Insights → Customer Analysis and choose a shop and period.
  2. Check Avg. Price per Customer, Total Customers and Total Sales.
  3. Compare average spend by weekday under By Day of Week, and spend and guests by month under Monthly Trend.

Payment Summary

  1. Open Insights → Payment Summary and choose a shop and period.
  2. Check Total Payment and the Breakdown (amount and share per method).
  3. Use the Ratio bars to see which methods are used most.

Methods are shown with their Japanese names: 現金 (cash), クレジットカード (credit card), PayPay, ポイント (points), 楽天ペイ (Rakuten Pay), iD, 交通系IC (transit IC), QUICPay, 食事券 (meal vouchers) and その他 (other). The figures are the payment breakdown entered in the daily reports.

Shop Comparison

  1. Open Insights → Shop Comparison and choose a period. There is no shop selector; all shops are listed.
  2. Compare Total Sales, Food Cost Rate, Alcohol Cost Rate, Labor Cost Rate, FL Ratio and Days Recorded for each shop. Shops are sorted by sales.
  3. Colors compare each ratio with its target: green within target, yellow up to 1.1 times the target, red above that.
Note

Shop Comparison is calculated from daily cost records per shop (food, drinks and labor). Periods without records show "No data available". → Track costs and the FL ratio

FAQ

  • It says "No data available": there are no daily reports for that shop and period. Check that sales are entered under Store operations → Daily Reports. → Daily reports
  • The numbers differ from the Performance report: the Performance report counts paid orders taken in Bookmi; these screens count the sales in daily reports. Shops that ring up sales on another register will see a smaller Performance figure.
  • Monthly Sales Comparison is not in my side menu: it is shown to company administrators only.
  • What happens if a daily report is corrected? Figures are recalculated from the daily reports each time you open the screen.
Note

If you don't see this screen in the side menu, check your plan or your role's permissions.
