Overview

The Tax Accountant Report sums up a month of sales by tax rate (10%, reduced 8% and 0%) and exports sales journal CSVs you can import into Yayoi or freee accounting.

  • Company administrators (owner and company admins) and members with the Tax Accountant role can use it.
  • A tax accountant's account can open only this screen. Other screens are hidden, and settings are limited to Profile, Security and Appearance.

Steps

  1. Open Insights → Tax Accountant Report. It opens on last month.
  2. Choose the month and shop (All shops or one shop) at the top right.
  3. Click Download under Yayoi CSV or freee CSV.
  4. Import into Yayoi as journal data, or into freee as a transfer slip import. Account names and tax categories can be changed while importing.
  5. For daily figures click CSV next to Daily. To hand over paper or a PDF, click Print / PDF.
Warning

Until the month is over you see "This month is not over yet; figures may still change." Send the report to your accountant after the month ends and all daily reports are in.

On the screen

  • The company name, invoice Registration No. and the Source appear at the top.
  • Sales (tax incl.), Net sales and Consumption tax, each split into 10%, 8% (reduced) and 0%.
  • Groups, Avg. per group, Guests and Avg. per guest. When the source is daily reports, groups are the visiting groups from the reports.
  • By payment method: amounts per method.
  • Daily: sales, 10%, 8%, 0%, tax, groups and guests for each business day.
  • Overview at the top right switches to a one-page layout (sales → net sales → tax, sales by payment method, daily). Click Details & CSV to go back. The overview can be printed too.

Where the figures come from

  • The current source is daily reports (sales, guests and payments entered by each shop every day). The figures match the Monthly Sales Comparison.
  • Takeout sales are treated as reduced 8%; everything else as 10%.
  • Tax is back-calculated from tax-inclusive amounts per day and per rate, rounded down to the yen.
  • Payments are grouped into four: cash, card, PayPay and other.

What's in the CSV

  • One slip per shop per business day. The description is "売上 <shop name>(日報)".
  • Debit: 現金 (cash) for cash, 売掛金 (accounts receivable) for other methods, with the method as the sub-account.
  • Credit: 売上高 (sales) by 10%, reduced 8% and non-taxable.
  • The Yayoi CSV is Shift_JIS; the freee CSV is UTF-8.
  • On days where sales and payments don't match, the difference is balanced with 売掛金/未分類 (sales higher) or 雑収入 (payments higher). Months with a difference show the amount on screen.
