Overview

Ingredient stock is kept per store. Inventory Overview shows ingredients below safety stock and recent movements, Stock is where you record stock in, stock out, waste and so on, and every record is kept in Stock Logs.

Note

Stock levels change only when you record a movement in Stock or confirm an inventory count. Orders (POS) don't reduce stock automatically.

Steps: record stock in and out

  1. Pick a store in the store selector on the right. You can't save without one.
  2. Open Inventory & purchasing → Stock and search by ingredient name.
  3. Click the ↑ button (Adjust Stock) or the ↓ button (Stock Out) on the row.
  4. Choose a Movement Type and enter the Quantity. Add Unit Price and Notes if needed.
  5. Click Save.

Movement types

The movement type options are shown in Japanese:

  • 入庫 (Stock in) and 返品 (Return): stock goes up.
  • 出庫 (Stock out) and 廃棄 (Waste): stock goes down.
  • 棚卸調整 (Count adjustment): enter the quantity you actually have now. Stock is replaced with that number, the difference is logged, and Last Count Date is updated.
Tip

Newly added ingredients don't appear in the Stock list at first. Enter their opening stock with an inventory count; they appear once it's confirmed. → Take an inventory count

On the screen

  • Inventory Overview: cards for Ingredients, Suppliers, Low Stock Alerts and Recipe Covered, plus the low-stock list and the 5 most recent movements.
  • Low Stock Alerts: ingredients whose stock is below their safety stock. Ingredients with a safety stock of 0 never alert.
  • Stock: Current Stock, Safety Stock, Status (Below Safety Stock / Normal) and Last Count Date. Tick Below safety only to see only alerting ingredients.
  • Stock Logs: Date/Time, Ingredient, Movement Type, Quantity (+ for in, − for out), Unit Price, Operator and Notes. Filter by movement type and date range.
  • Safety stock is set per ingredient in Ingredients. → Set up ingredients, recipes and suppliers

FAQ

  • Orders came in but stock didn't go down: Stock doesn't follow orders. Record usage with 出庫 (Stock out), or true it up with regular counts.
  • Save doesn't close the dialog: Check that a store is selected and the quantity is above 0.
  • The same ingredient appears on several rows: With all stores shown, each store's stock is listed. Select a store.
  • Stock Logs show Waste entries from Expiry Management: Those are disposals recorded in Expiry Management. They don't change the stock level, so true it up at the next count. → Expiry Management
