Overview

Send the finalized contract for electronic signature. Signers need no account: they open the email link, review the document in their browser and sign by hand. Up to three people sign in order. When everyone has signed, the contract becomes Active and the signed PDF is saved with a certificate. Electronic contracts need no revenue stamp.

Steps

  1. Click 電子契約で送付 (Send for e-signature).
  2. Enter the signer's email. Add up to three signers who sign in order.
  3. Turn on the access code (recommended). Tell the 6-digit code to the signer by phone or in person (required for construction contracts). The signer then does not need to wait for an email code.
  4. Check this month's usage and click 送付する (Send). The status becomes Awaiting signature.
  5. If your company requires approval before sending, an admin must approve first.
  6. When everyone has signed, download 締結済みPDF(証明書つき), the signed PDF with certificate.

Signer statuses and actions

  • Statuses: waiting for turn, sent (unopened), viewed (awaiting signature), signed, declined, expired, invalidated, revoked.
  • Actions: show access code, reissue code, remind again (once per 24 hours), resend to another address, cancel.

What the signer sees

An email asks them to review and sign. They enter the access code, review the PDF, enter their name, draw their signature, agree and sign (or decline). Without an access code, they enter a verification code sent to their email instead. When all have signed, both sides receive a completion email with a copy. The signing page is in Japanese.

Limits and expiry

  • Signing links are valid for 14 days; after that the contract returns to its pre-send status and can be sent again.
  • Each plan has a monthly sending limit (small-business plans: Solo 5, Light 15, Standard 50, Pro unlimited; trials count as Standard). Requests cancelled before opening do not count.
  • With an access code, identity is confirmed by the access code alone and no email code is sent. Without one, an email verification code (valid for 10 minutes) is used. Each code locks after 5 wrong attempts.

FAQ

  • The signer didn't get the email: check the address, then remind again or resend to another address.
  • The signer declined: you get an email and the contract returns to its pre-send status; fix it and send again.
