■目的・概要
この補助金は、地方公共団体が廃止石油鉱山に放置され、漏油等の鉱害が発生または発生のおそれがある坑井に対して主体的に実施する封鎖工事を促進し、当該工事に要する経費の一部を補助することにより、廃止石油坑井に係る鉱害を防止し、もって石油の安定的かつ低廉な供給の確保を図ることを目的とする。

廃止石油鉱山のうち廃止石油坑井を封鎖し鉱害を防止する義務を有する者が、無資力であり、又は現存しないものについて、地方公共団体が実施する坑井封鎖工事に必要な経費のうち、補助金交付の対象として産業保安監督部長が認める経費について予算の範囲内で補助金を交付する。
補助金の額は、補助対象経費の３／４を限度とし、補助金の交付決定額の下限は事業の実施が特に必要と認められるものを除き、原則１００万円とする。
