FAQ
Can Bookmi file my tax return for me?
No. Tax representation and preparing tax documents are the exclusive work of licensed tax accountants. What Bookmi does is organise a year of books and receipts into the form your filing needs — after that, filing yourself or handing it to an accountant is your call. Either way it's far less work.
Can I use the contracts as they are?
We wouldn't recommend it. What the AI produces is a draft. Legal review is the work of a qualified lawyer; Bookmi neither reviews nor makes legal judgements. Have anything important checked by a professional.
Is it worth it for a one-person business?
The Light plan is designed for one to three people. Call answering and bookkeeping are usually the first things to break down when you're running a business on your own.
We already use accounting software — does this conflict?
No. Bookmi organises receipts and books into structured data; once exported you can carry on with the software you have, or view it in Bookmi directly.
Is the dashboard in Japanese?
The dashboard is in Chinese. Outward-facing invoices, contracts and phone calls are in Japanese.
