Menu edits now reach ordering tablets only when you sync

Menu edits such as prices, names and images now reach customers' ordering tablets all at once when you click the sync button. Sold-out (paused) items and deletions still apply as soon as you save.

Before

Every time you saved the menu, the change was sent to ordering tablets right away. If you updated prices or swapped in seasonal items during business hours, customers could see a half-finished state, such as only some items showing the new price.

What's new

  • Changes to prices, names, images, variants and categories, as well as newly added items, are held as unsynced and sent to ordering tablets together when you click the sync button.
  • When there are unsynced changes, the screen shows X unsynced.
  • Sold-out (paused) items and deletions are applied automatically when you save. This prevents customers from ordering items you can't serve.
  • If you have multiple stores, choose a store before syncing (each sync applies to one store).

Who it's for

  • Industries: restaurants
  • Screens: In-Store Operations > Item Management and Menu List

How to use it

  1. Edit items in In-Store Operations > Item Management.
  2. When you're done, choose a store and click the sync button on the same screen.
  3. When Applied to X tablets appears, the sync is complete.
