Sign-in and authentication: minor improvements and fixes (Oct 4–10, 2026)

Here is a roundup of the minor improvements and fixes we made to sign-in and accounts from October 4 to 10.

Improvements

When you move from the AI Phone screen to the admin console, the sign-in screen no longer flashes up; a loading indicator stays on screen until the console opens.
If sign-in fails when moving to the admin console from AI Phone or similar links, we now show the actual reason, such as an ended free trial or a locked account, instead of simply saying the link has expired.
When choosing roles, roles that can't sign in to the admin console are now labeled Cannot sign in to console, so you notice before assigning them.

Fixed an issue where, after signing in with an account from a different company, the store selected for the previous company remained and could cause an error.
Fixed an issue where moving to the admin console from AI Phone or similar links occasionally stopped at the sign-in screen.
Fixed an issue where companies that signed up online could end up with the wrong industry setting and an empty menu.
