Out-of-range GPS clock-ins can now be approved only by authorized staff
For small businesses using GPS clock-in, clock-ins made outside the registered location can now be approved only by members with the GPS clock-in management permission. Approvers are notified.
What's changed
- Before: Members without the GPS clock-in management permission could sometimes approve out-of-range clock-ins or change GPS clock-in settings.
- Now: Approving or rejecting out-of-range clock-ins, and managing clock-in locations and company settings, requires the GPS clock-in management permission.
- You can no longer approve your own out-of-range clock-ins. Another approver needs to review them.
- When an out-of-range clock-in occurs, approvers receive an approval request notification.
- Members with the HR management permission can still view clock-in records on the Attendance records screen. Approving out-of-range clock-ins and changing GPS clock-in settings requires the GPS clock-in management permission.
Impact and what to do
- Check that the members who approve out-of-range clock-ins have the GPS clock-in management permission in their role.
- If you have only one approver, grant the permission to another member as well so that the approver's own out-of-range clock-ins can be reviewed.
