Journal inline editing, cash book, bank book and journal templates
You can now enter and correct entries directly in the table of the Journal, and we added the Cash Book, Bank Book and Journal Templates. Record entries just as you would in the general journal of accounting software.
Before
To fix an automatically generated journal entry, you had to go back to the screen of its source document.
What's new
- Click a cell in the journal to correct the account, sub-account, tax category and more right there. For automatically generated entries, the date and amount stay fixed to the source document, and you can adjust only fields such as the account.
- Enter transfer slips directly at the end of the list, and keep entering more in a row.
- The content before any correction, adjustment or deletion is kept as Change history (the record of corrections and deletions under Japan's Electronic Bookkeeping Act).
- Print the journal on A4 landscape in the format of a general journal.
- In the Cash Book, just enter the date, counter account, and amount received or paid (tax-inclusive) to create a journal entry. Consumption tax is split out automatically, and if there's another receipt or payment on the same day for the same amount, you're asked to confirm it isn't recorded twice.
- In the Bank Book, reconcile your books against the bank passbook for each account, and record any passbook transaction that's missing from your books right there.
- Save frequently used entries to Journal Templates and insert them from the journal or the cash book.

How to use it
- Open Accounting > Journal.
- Click the cell you want to change and edit it. Enter new entries from Add an entry here (enter a transfer slip inline) at the end of the list.
- Save frequently used entries to your journal templates with Save to templates.
