Revised the SaaS agreement template
We've revised the SaaS agreement template used for the Subscription service (SaaS) contract type, expanding it from 12 to 22 articles. Terms commonly used by businesses that provide monthly services can now go straight into your contract from the template.
What's new
- Added articles covering precedence over your terms of use, early termination and cancellation fees, late payment charges, advance notice of price changes, suspension of service, handling of statistical data, providing data after the contract ends, outsourcing the handling of personal information, AI features, discontinuing the service, exclusion of antisocial forces, force majeure, prohibition of assignment and governing law, among others.
- Liability is now capped at three months' service fees, and the cap doesn't apply in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- The service name in Article 1 now comes from the service name field (or, if that's blank, the first line item) instead of the contract name.
- New fields include the deadline for early termination notice, termination during the initial term, the name of your terms of use (Article 2) and how long data is provided after the contract ends. You can also choose to add commitments such as not selling statistical data, not letting AI providers use the customer's data for training and not raising prices during the initial term.
- If you leave the payment timing blank, the contract uses "closing at month-end, payment by the end of the following month".
- Contract text created with the previous template shows that a newer version is available; regenerate it to get the latest articles. Finalized contracts don't change.

How to use it
- Create a contract in Quotes & invoices > Contracts and choose Subscription service (SaaS) as the contract type.
- Fill in fields such as the service name and the deadline for early termination notice.
- Review the articles with Review and finalize text and finalize them.
