Create financial statements and store year-end files by fiscal year

You can now create financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity, notes to the financial statements and more) and supporting schedules such as account breakdown statements from your books, then print them or save them as PDFs in one go. You can also store year-end documents from past years by fiscal year.

What's new

  • Create financial statements (cover page, balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity, notes to the financial statements, and schedule of selling, general and administrative expenses). Document names and structure adjust to your type of entity, such as a godo kaisha (Japanese LLC) or sole proprietor.
  • If your previous year's books are in Bookmi, prior-year amounts are shown alongside the current year's.
  • Create account breakdown statements (the itemized schedules attached to a corporate tax return, in all 16 National Tax Agency formats), the corporate business overview, the fixed asset register and depreciation schedule, and the depreciable asset tax return. The depreciable asset return also lists the land and buildings that were excluded as out of scope, with the reason for each.
  • We added Export and store financial statements to the steps in Closing and tax filing, so you can print the financial statements and supporting schedules together or save them as PDFs.
  • At year-end, expenses that occur every month but have not been recorded for the closing month are shown as candidates, and you can record them as accrued expenses (the reversing entry at the start of the next fiscal year is created at the same time).
  • In Fiscal years and year-end documents, you can store files such as financial statements, copies of tax returns and ledgers for each fiscal year. Years before you started using Bookmi can be registered as Closed outside Bookmi. PDFs and images can be viewed in place, and a year's documents can be downloaded together as a zip file.
