Import bank transactions from passbook photos and card statements
You can now import bank transactions just by photographing your bank passbook, even for accounts without downloadable statement files. Credit cards and e-money can be registered as accounts too, and turning imported transactions into journal entries takes fewer steps.
Before
Bank transactions could only be imported from statement files provided by the bank.
What's new
- Choose Photograph passbook under Import statements to read transactions from photos of your bank passbook (up to 10 images). Every line is checked against the running balance, and lines whose balance doesn't match are not imported and are flagged for you. With Take with phone, you can also scan a QR code shown on your computer and take the photos with your smartphone.
- Statement files from Mizuho Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Japan Post Bank, Rakuten Bank, GMO Aozora Net Bank and SBJ Bank are now read according to each bank's own format.
- You can register credit cards and e-money in Account management. Card purchases are recorded as accounts payable–other on the date of use and settled on the debit date (statement files from Rakuten Card and Sumitomo Mitsui Card are supported).
- The top of Bank transactions now shows a balance reconciliation for each account (book balance vs. passbook balance).
- Unprocessed transactions with the same counterparty are grouped together, and we suggest Create rule for them. A new rule can also be applied to past transactions, and it's applied automatically whenever you import statements.
- Withdrawals with a suggested account can be turned straight into journal entries with Post to (account name).
- In Payer name learning, you can review, reassign or delete the payer-name-to-company matches learned through automatic matching of incoming payments.
