Store received and issued documents per the Electronic Bookkeeping Act
You can now upload PDF receipts and other documents received by email or online to the Receipt ledger and find them with the search criteria required by Japan's Electronic Bookkeeping Act. Invoices and receipts you issue, along with their copies, are in Issued documents.
Before
Only receipts photographed in the app could be added to the Receipt ledger, and there was nowhere to store receipts received electronically or copies of documents you issued.
What's new
- Click Upload in the Receipt ledger to add images (JPEG, PNG, WebP) and PDFs in bulk (up to 10 MB per file and up to 20 files; drag and drop is supported).
- How each document was received (electronic transaction or scanner storage) is recorded automatically.
- Use Advanced search to search by transaction date (or upload date), tax-inclusive amount range and company.
- Switch the list by fiscal year and month, and use Export CSV + originals to save the list as a CSV together with the original files in a zip. Use it when submitting records to your tax accountant or during a tax audit.
- Select receipts that haven't been recorded yet and click Bulk delete. Deleted receipts can be brought back from Deleted with Restore.
- In the Electronic Bookkeeping Act section, choose how you ensure authenticity, and print your internal processing rules with your company name and adoption date filled in.
- In Issued documents, see the invoices and receipts you've issued by fiscal year and month, and check which journal entries they correspond to. A copy (PDF) is saved automatically when a document is issued, and you can create any missing copies with Create in bulk.
- With Register external documents, you can add invoices and receipts created in other tools, together with the originals.
