Reservation duration and no-show handling now follow store settings
You can now set a default reservation duration, a no-show time, and an acceptance method (by seats, by groups per time slot, or by table) for each store, replacing the previous fixed rules.
What's changed
- Default reservation duration
- Before: Reservations created without a duration were set to 120 minutes.
- Now: They use the duration set for the store. The duration in your LINE online booking rules is also updated to match the store setting.
- No-show handling
- Before: For every store, a reservation was marked as a no-show 30 minutes after its end time.
- Now: A reservation is marked as a no-show, and its seats are released, once the store's no-show time has passed after the start time.
- How reservations are accepted
- By seats: A reservation is accepted if the number of guests already in the store plus the new party does not exceed the seat count. If no seat count is set, the total capacity of all tables is used.
- By groups per time slot: A reservation is accepted as long as the number of groups at the same time stays within your limit.
- By table: Each reservation must be assigned a table.
- The time slots guests can choose in LINE online booking also follow this setting.
Impact and what to do
- Reservations may now be marked as no-shows earlier or later than before. Check your store's reservation settings to make sure the no-show time fits how your store operates.
- Review the default duration and acceptance method at the same time.
