Edit expenses after saving, including payment method and registration number
You can now edit expenses after saving them. Payment methods are filled in from scanned receipts, and the invoice qualification is rechecked when you correct a registration number.
What's new
- Edit an expense from the pencil icon on its row in the Expenses list, or with Edit in the expense details. Expenses in closed months can't be edited.
- If you manually adjusted the journal entry, you are told before saving that the entry will be regenerated and your adjustments removed. For expenses with a per-tax-rate breakdown, you are also told that changing the amount or tax category merges the breakdown into one line.
- The payment method read from the receipt, such as credit card, is now filled in. The form shows whether it came from the receipt, the document type, or your company default. If it can't be read, you see a prompt to check it instead of it defaulting to cash.
- The form shows the pre-tax amount and consumption tax that were read, so you can compare them with the tax shown on the receipt.
- Registration numbers are normalized for full-width characters and hyphens. You see a warning if the number isn't T plus 13 digits or its check digit doesn't match.
- When you change the registration number, vendor, account, or amount, the qualified or non-qualified status is rechecked and the reason appears under the tax category. If you chose the tax category yourself, it isn't changed automatically.
- For vendors not yet saved as business partners, a registration number is treated as qualified only if its format and check digit are valid, so receipt numbers misread as registration numbers no longer count.
- Saving an expense records the registration number with the vendor for future checks.
- When adding an expense, the scanned tax category could be blank. It is now determined from the account default, and single-rate receipts use the rate that matches the printed tax amount.
