Monthly payroll stats and position allowances now require HR access

In the mobile app, monthly payroll stats and company-wide position allowances are now shown only to people whose role has HR & Payroll enabled. Company admins on shift roles won't see them.

What's changed#

• Before: Company-wide position allowances (monthly) and the home screen shortcut used different visibility rules from monthly payroll stats. As a result, some company admins who didn't need payroll information could still see them.
• Now: Monthly payroll stats, company-wide position allowances (monthly), and the home screen shortcut all follow the same rule. They appear only for people whose role has "HR & Payroll" enabled.
• Company admins whose role doesn't have "HR & Payroll" enabled no longer see these screens or the shortcut. If you've assigned an admin a role meant for shift staff, payroll figures will no longer appear for them.

Impact and what to do#

• If someone can no longer see monthly payroll stats or position allowances in the app but still needs them, turn on "HR & Payroll" for their role in the admin console.
• If someone doesn't need payroll information, no action is needed.
• You need permission to edit roles to change role settings.
