Reorganized the Rental Management menu around the property register
The Rental Management menu now has seven items, and a new Property Profile shows each property's contracts, income and expense details, reports, repairs and owner information on one screen. Former menu screens remain as tabs.
Before
The Rental Management menu had 15 items, and checking the contracts, payments and reports for a single property meant switching back and forth between screens.
What's new
- The menu is now organized into seven items: Property Register, Vacancies & Listings, Contract Management, Payments & Collections, Monthly Statements, Remittances & Reports, Owners & Tenants and Repair Management. For example, lease contracts, renewals and move-out settlements are now under Contract Management, and monthly income and expenses, income and expense reports, qualified invoices and withholding tax are under Monthly Statements, Remittances & Reports. Links to the old screens automatically take you to the corresponding tab on the new screen.
- Open a Property Profile from the property register to review and edit everything for that property on the Overview, Contracts, Income & Expense Details, Reports, Repairs and Owner & Management Agreement tabs.
- Income and expense reports can now be published, have remittances recorded or be sent back directly from their row in the list. You can also undo publishing or a recorded remittance.
- Management numbers (property codes) can now be assigned automatically. Use Management number on the Managed Properties screen to set rules such as a prefix and the number of digits, or enter numbers from your previous system manually. The management number is printed as the report number on monthly income and expense reports.
- When registering a property, you can enter unit numbers as a range, such as "101-105, 201", to register them all at once.
- A property's occupancy status (occupied, move-out scheduled, vacant) now updates automatically when you register a contract or complete a move-out settlement.
- On-screen terms such as "owner," "finalize" and "income and expense details" now follow standard rental management usage.
