Import contacts from Eight, Sansan and Excel

You can now upload business card data exported from Eight or Sansan, or a contact list in Excel or CSV, and register contacts and customers in one go.

What's new

  • Data migration has a new Contacts (cards) tab. Choose the source (Eight, Sansan, or another CSV or Excel file) and upload the file. A template is also available.
  • Column headings such as company, department, title, name, email and phone are recognized automatically, and names are split into family and given names. Phone numbers are filled in from direct line, then department, then company; fax numbers, URLs and card exchange dates are kept in the notes.
  • Customers are matched to existing ones by company name; if there's no match, a new customer is created with the main phone number, URL and address from the card. The owner is assigned from the card holder.
  • When the same person already exists (same email, or same company and name), choose whether to skip them or only fill in empty fields.
  • The review screen shows how many new customers will be created and how many duplicates were found. You can undo an import afterwards, batch by batch (unless a contact already has deals, activities or emails).

Who it's for

  • Industries: small businesses and sole proprietors, real estate
  • Screens: Import on Customers & email > Contacts, and the Contacts (cards) tab in Data migration

How to use it

  1. On Customers & email > Contacts, click Import.
  2. Choose the source and upload the file exported from Eight or Sansan, or your Excel or CSV file.
  3. Check the contents and counts on the review screen, then import.
