Update a deal's next action right where you see it
You can now set a deal's next action and due date right from the deal details, the board or the list. When an activity is completed, its next action is copied to the deal automatically.
Before
Changing a next action meant opening the deal's edit screen, and even when you entered a next action on an activity, the deal could keep an old next action until it went overdue.
What's new
- Edit in place: Click the next action on the deal details, a board card or a list row to open a small editor. Pick a due date with Today, Tomorrow, In 3 days or Next Monday, and press Enter to save.
- Done, set the next one: Mark the current next action as done and enter the next step straight away. You can also choose No next action for now to clear it.
- Due dates at a glance: The list shows the next action under each deal name, in red when overdue, orange when due today and yellow when not set (small businesses and sole proprietors).
- Activities update the deal: When you complete an activity linked to a deal, its next action (text and due date) becomes the deal's next action. This works whether you enter it on the activity screen, at check-out, when confirming meeting minutes or in the mobile app.
- The activity dialog now has a due date field for the next action.
Who it's for
- Industries: small businesses and sole proprietors, real estate
- Screens: Sales > Deals (details, board and list), creating and editing activities
How to use it
- Open Sales > Deals and click the next action (or the No next step tag).
- Enter the action and due date, then press Enter to save.
