Human verification added to sign-in and sign-up screens
Sign-in, sign-up, and password or username recovery now include a check that blocks automated abuse. It stays hidden during normal sign-in and only appears when activity looks suspicious.
What's new
- On the Sign in screen and the single sign-on screen, no check is shown in normal use. It appears only when activity looks suspicious, such as after a failed sign-in attempt.
- On the Sign up screen and the forgot password and forgot username screens, a background check runs automatically each time. In most cases, you don't need to do anything.
- If extra confirmation is needed, a checkbox appears. Select it to continue.
- The submit button stays disabled until the check is complete, so requests aren't rejected because they were sent mid-check.
- You can no longer click Sign in again while the page is loading after a successful sign-in, which previously could trigger a second sign-in.
