Send contracts as e-contracts and get them signed online

You can now email a contract to the other party, who reviews it from a link and signs it with a handwritten signature. Once it's signed, you can save a single PDF that combines the contract and the certificate of agreement.

Before

Contracts had to be exported as PDF or Word files and then printed and mailed, or signatures had to be collected through a separate service.

What's new

  • Click Send as e-contract on the contract details screen to email a signature request to the other party's signer. The other party can review the contract from the link without a Bookmi account.
  • The other party enters the verification code sent by email, adds their name and a handwritten signature, and agrees to sign. They can also decline.
  • If you add multiple signers, signature requests go out in order, from top to bottom.
  • When sending, you can add an access code (recommended). The contract isn't shown until the signer enters a code you've given them by phone or another channel other than email, so even if someone else sees the email, they can't sign.
  • From the signing status, you can Remind again, Resend to a different address, cancel the signature request, and show or reissue the access code.
  • We notify the sender when a contract is signed, declined or expires, and after signing we also email the other party a link to their copy.
  • After signing, you can download the Signed PDF (with certificate), which contains the contract with the other party's handwritten signature and the certificate of agreement.
  • If a contract was sent or signed by mistake, you can cancel the signing with ⋯ > Cancel signing once you've agreed with the other party (the reason and record are kept).
  • The send screen shows how many contracts you've sent this month (the limit depends on your plan).
