Conclude an e-contract with a stamped paper copy
If you send a contract as an e-contract and the other party prints, stamps and returns it as a scan or photo, you can now register that copy to conclude the contract.
Before
Record signing wasn't available while an e-contract was out for signature, and there was nowhere to keep the stamped copy with the contract.
What's new
- On the contract details screen, use Register the stamped copy under the awaiting-signature card, or ⋯ > Register stamped copy (paper). Register the returned copy with the signing date and the other party's signer, and the contract becomes active.
- You can choose one PDF or up to 20 photos. Photos are combined into one PDF, one page per photo, and their orientation is corrected automatically.
- Any pending signature requests are cancelled automatically, so the contract can't be signed electronically later as well.
- Open the copy from the concluded-on-paper card or from Download > Stamped copy (PDF). You can attach or replace it later, and the previous copy stays on record.
- When you record signing for a contract signed and sealed on paper, you can now attach the stamped copy too (optional).
- Contracts concluded on paper can now be cancelled with ⋯ > Cancel signing. The file is kept.
Who it's for
- Industries: small businesses and sole proprietors (documents delivered electronically from real estate document creation use the same screen)
- Screens: Quotes & invoices > Contracts > contract details
How to use it
- Check that the returned copy matches the contract you sent.
- On the contract details screen, click Register the stamped copy under the awaiting-signature card.
- Choose the file, enter the signing date and the other party's signer, then click Record signing.
