Quotes with monthly and yearly pricing
Each line on a quote can now be One-time, Monthly or Yearly, so you can quote SaaS, maintenance contracts and similar services with a first-year total and the total contract value.
Before
Quote lines only supported one-time amounts, so monthly and yearly services had to be written around that.
What's new
- Billing cycle: Set each line to One-time, Monthly or Yearly. When there are monthly or yearly lines, enter the Contract term and Service start date.
- First-year total: One-time fees + monthly fees × 12 months + yearly fees make up the First-year total, which becomes the quoted amount. For contracts longer than a year, the Total contract value is shown as well.
- Printed quote: The quote (print and PDF) shows "/month" and "/year", a breakdown of initial, monthly and yearly fees, and the first-year total and total contract value. The quote list also shows the first-year amount and monthly fee.
- Winning from a quote: The deal amount becomes the first-year total (excluding tax), and the monthly fee is recorded on the deal too.
- Quote template: Choose Work & services, SaaS & subscriptions, Goods or General for each quote to change the document title and the line-item headings.
- Conditions template: Insert conditions template adds standard special terms in one go, covering the contract term, auto-renewal and cancellation notice, billing and early termination (in Japanese, to match the printed quote).
- Products & plans: A new Products & plans page under Sales / CRM in Settings. Register the products and plans you quote often, and Add from products on a quote fills in the name, unit price, unit and billing cycle.
