AI Phone now greets first and lets callers switch language by keypad
AI Phone no longer plays a language menu when a call connects. The AI greets callers in your default language, and callers can press a key afterward to switch language at any time.
What's changed
- Before: When a call connected, callers first heard a language selection menu, and the AI greeted them afterward.
- Now: The AI greets callers in your default language, then explains how to switch to another language. Only the languages you have enabled in settings are announced.
- The keys are 1 for Japanese, 2 for Chinese, and 3 for English, and they are announced in that order.
- When a caller presses a key during the call, the AI stops what it is saying and continues in the selected language for the rest of the call.
- Explanations in the settings screen, the FAQ, and the Bookmi website have been updated to match.
Impact and what to do
- No settings changes are needed. Your enabled languages work as before.
- If your website or in-store notices tell callers to choose a language at the start of the call, we recommend updating them to describe pressing a key after the greeting.
