AI Phone uses more polished Japanese business etiquette

AI Phone now follows standard Japanese business phone etiquette more closely, including cushion phrases, addressing callers by name, confirming messages, and apologizing when it can't help.

What's new

  • AI Phone adds polite cushion phrases when asking for a name or phone number, repeating details back, or offering a callback or message.
  • After the caller gives their name, AI Phone addresses them with -sama and confirms the name politely.
  • When taking a message, AI Phone closes with a set phrase confirming it will be passed on, using the requested staff member's surname if one was named.
  • The message summary is given only once. If a detail such as the phone number is added or changed later, only that change is mentioned.
  • If the audio is unclear after a callback has already been accepted, AI Phone just apologizes and explains that the line is hard to hear.
  • When it can't answer, AI Phone uses a standard polite phrase. For feedback, it thanks the caller before apologizing, and ends apology calls with a closing apology.
  • After explaining several points, AI Phone asks if anything is unclear. Phrases for asking the purpose of the call and the caller's name now use standard honorifics.
